Grow Along With Me - Developmental Milestones
6-12 months
Your baby will need lots of experience playing on the floor so he or she can learn to roll, crawl and sit. Typically before your child’s first birthday they will begin cruising furniture and walking when you hold both of their hands. Some may even take their first steps. Your babies’ first smiles and coos is one way he or she communicates to you.
12-18 months
At this age you may receive your very first hug and kiss from your little one. They begin to recognize themselves in the mirror and in photographs and become more of an individual.
18-24 months
Your child can probably say about 18-50 words but can become frustrated if people don't understand what he or she is trying to say.
24-30 months
Around age 2, toddlers can usually kick a ball with one foot, and pick up small items and put them in a container. At this time your child’s language will develop rapidly.
30-36 months
By this age your child should have around 200-300 single words and combine them often into three to four word sentences.
